ICYMI – Ford suspends exports of a number of automobiles to China amid tariffs

Some information in a single day ICYMI:

• Ford has ceased the exports of a number of automobile fashions to China in response to the retaliatory commerce tariffs imposed by China, which have reached 150%, reported the Wall Road Journal
• the suspension impacts exports of the F-150 Raptor pickup truck, Mustang sports activities automobile, Bronco SUV, and Lincoln Navigator, that are manufactured in Michigan and Kentucky

Additionally, some layoff information from the US, Volvo/Mack vans:

• 250-350 can be laid off from the Mack Vehicles plant in Macungie, Pennsylvania
• together with 50-100 folks from the Volvo/Mack powertrain plant in Hagerstown, Maryland
